Meet Dinidu Jayalath
After graduating from University of Colombo with a Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Mathematics and Statistics, I have enrolled with Masters of Science degree in Geographic Information Systems and Remote Sensing in Postgraduate Institute of Science (PGIS), University of Peradeniya. I have successfully completed the degree with a merit reward for obtaining GPA 4.0 for all academic courses and thesis
In 2011. I have joined PGIS as a visiting demonstrator for GIS and Remote Sensing. During my time at PGIS, I have worked as a resource person for numerous amount of GIS and RS short courses. I have joined the Ministry of Irrigation in mid 2015 as GIS/ICT Officer of the largest irrigation canal construction program funded by Asian Development Bank.
Since December 2022, I am working as a full time freelancer GIS Specialist on Upwork and Fiverr, have earned five star rating for all completed projects in both platforms. I became one of the top rated freelancers in Upwork very recently.
